How much does a baby sleep at 1 month, how many naps are usual and how long is it awake in between? Guideline values with sources and an example day – not a plan to follow.

Under 4 months, the app accounts for an extra short sleep in the late afternoon.

What often changes at 1 month

In the first month, sleep is still spread across day and night: in app data, sleep periods in the first three months mostly lasted less than three and a half hours (Mindell 2016). At night, babies this age wake between zero and about three times in studies (Galland 2012).
